Meet Our Coach

Thomas Wu

I found CrossFit during my senior year of high school. I played water polo and was on the swim team for all 4 years except for my very last season. I needed to find something to replace that competitive outlet and CrossFit was perfect for me. I tried a class at the gym that was nearby my home and I immediately fell in love with everything about it. The community, style of workouts, and atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. My mom purchased a membership for me as a birthday gift and I haven’t looked back since! Eventually, I went on to earn my CrossFit Level 1 certification. I also am certified in CrossFit Weightlifting and CrossFit Sport-Specific Application. I have had the opportunity to train alongside CrossFit Games level competitors and also compete in many local competitions. I always try to expand my knowledge and I have had the amazing opportunity to learn from high level coaches in this sport. While I love the competition side of things, I am truly passionate about the health and wellness aspect of CrossFit. This passion of mine helped me decide what I wanted to go to school for. I wanted to learn more about the human body and what it is capable of. I went on to get my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise, Nutrition, and Wellness at California State University East Bay. My purpose for coaching is to help people become the best versions of themselves. The hardest part is walking through those 2 front doors. Once you are inside, I will do everything in my power to help you reach your goals. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn what their body is capable of.
