Koa Programs

Muay Thai Kickboxing
A traditional combat art from Thailand that utilizes punches, knees, kicks, and elbows. We offer adult and youth classes. Each class is a 1-hour group class consisting of warm-ups, techniques of the day, partner drills on heavy bags, thai pads and conditioning.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
A fighting art and self defense system that focuses on leverage, timing, position, joint-manipulation, and chokeholds. With proper training and understanding of BJJ, people can successfully defend themselves against a much bigger and stronger assailant. We offer gi and no gi classes for adults.

Boxing
A combat sport utilizing both fists with striking only allowed above the waist. Boxing classes at Koa heavily focus on cardio, timing, coordination, hand speed, head movement and footwork. Our classes are friendly for all skill levels.

Strength and Conditioning
This class is designed to increase your cardio, muscular strength, endurance muscular power, agility, and overall performance. A must for anyone who is serious about getting into shape and sharpen their athletic skills and abilities.

Youth Classes
KOA offers a number of classes for kids ages 5 years and up. Kids and teens can take Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Boxing to help them gain confidence and learn discipline while enjoying a fun martial art.

Barbell Club
This class will help increase strength, mobility, coordination and balance, incorporating resistance exercises using barbells and bodyweight. Exercises are performed standing, sitting and/or on the floor. Participants will learn proper movement patterns and overall body awareness, increasing both speed and absolute strength. You’ll never need to go to “the gym” again!

CQC Self-Defense
KOA’s Close Quarters Combat (CQC) course is the study of real-world, practical self-defense techniques and philosophy. Different from MMA or other sport-fighting disciplines, CQC utilizes street tactics—no rules, vital area striking. Elements from various disciplines such as American Military Combatives, Krav Maga (Israeli), Escrima (Filipino), Ninjutsu (Japanese), and Mixed Martial Arts.
